WARNING
The METHALDONE collection, intended for indoor cladding, is manufactured through an innovative, advanced artisanal production process: a matrix film is directly calendered onto the porcelain stoneware slab. Subsequently, the design is printed using high-definition digital Inkjet technology. A protective top-coating glaze is then applied to enhance resistance and permanently fixed through high-temperature firing, ensuring durability and chromatic integrity. Any minor imperfections are to be considered inherent characteristics of the product due to its unique manufacturing process. This innovative decorative technique enhances image definition and color rendering; however, it results in a surface abrasion resistance that is less performative compared to traditional porcelain stoneware. During handling, avoid contact with abrasive materials and rubbing against other slabs or work surfaces. Do not place tools or other materials on the surface, as they may damage the product. Whether using dry cutting or wet cutting with a flexible hose, it is fundamental that the worktable is perfectly planar (verify with a level). It is essential to work on a planar and clean surface. Exercise maximum care during this operation to avoid damaging the slabs by causing them to strike against sharp objects. The material can be cut and drilled using machinery and tools standard for traditional porcelain stoneware; do not use an angle grinder for linear cuts on the slabs. Machining operations can be performed from the front of the slab using an angle grinder with diamond-tipped discs and drill bits. Throughout the entire cutting phase, ensure the blade adheres perfectly to the slab surface, verifying the support surface is perfectly clean and free of any asperities that could damage the material. During the installation phase, do not use self-leveling spacers. We recommend a 1 mm joint. Before proceeding with installation and grouting, it is advisable to verify the material's graphic layout. Protect the slab edge with paper tape before any grouting. The use of only cementitious grouts and plastic floats is recommended. Remove the paper tape slowly immediately after grouting (maximum 10 minutes) and/or after painting. If two painting operations are performed, take care to replace the tape between coats. During tape removal, avoid using metal tools (cutters/trowels) that can scratch and ruin the slab, taking care to clean any grout residue with water and a non-abrasive sponge. Do not use acetic silicone-based products for sealing windows, showers, or sanitary fixtures. Use neutral silicones instead. To optimize installation, preserve aesthetic uniformity, and guarantee maximum product performance, we suggest opting for the supply of porcelain stoneware slabs pre-cut to size at our factory, avoiding on-site cutting or trimming work. To guarantee the integrity of the product, it is fundamental to store the material exclusively in covered, dry warehouses, protected from atmospheric agents. It is also mandatory to protect the slabs with the provided protective caps. Failure to comply with these conditions can irreversibly compromise the surface. The infiltration of water or moisture, in combination with a confined, low-oxygen environment inside the crate, can trigger phenomena of inter-slab condensation and oxidation, causing permanent damage to the material.
For daily cleaning, use neutral pH commercial detergents and/or water, cleaning with microfiber cloths or soft sponges. Descaler products can be used, taking care to quickly rinse the surface with water after application. Do not use solvents (alcohol and similar) nor abrasive sponges or scratching elements.
